The above Gyrfalcon eyries are located in the Kangerlussuaq area in southwest Greenland. In the video clips you will see young from two different eyries at ages from first hatched until about 45 days of age. Prey items that are being delivered include Rock Ptarmigan, juvenile Arctic Hare, and several smaller species of songbirds.

These video clips are provided by Travis Booms and the Boise State University Raptor Research Center. During the 2000 and 2001 field seasons, Travis conducted research funded by The Peregrine Fund on Gyrfalcon food selection as part of his MSc. in raptor biology at Boise State University, in conjunction with other work being done by The Peregrine Fund.
