World Center for Birds of Prey celebrates International Migratory Bird Day on May 11

BOISE, Idaho –The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey will celebrate International Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 11, with activities focused on the remarkable journeys many birds make each year.

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, May 11

Admission: $7 adults, $6 seniors, $5 youth (4-16), free to members

This family-friendly day will focus on conserving birds that migrate between nesting habitats in North America and non-breeding grounds in Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.

There will be live bird demonstrations, a migration scavenger hunt, and interactive exhibits at the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center throughout the day. Tours at the Archives of Falconry will feature art, sculpture, artifacts, and rare books related to falconry, including an authentic hunting tent and displays on falconry in the Middle East. Participants will receive a free Birds of Prey calendar.
