Velma Morrison Interpretive Center at the World Center for Birds of Prey

The Velma Morrison Interpretive Center is waiting to welcome you into the exciting world of birds of prey!

Designed for all ages, our unique facility boasts innovative, interactive exhibits, multimedia shows, original artwork and a wide variety of resident birds of prey. The Center’s dedicated volunteers and staff invite visitors to witness first hand the method and passion that have made The Peregrine Fund a worldwide leader in conservation of birds of prey.

So whether you're meeting a Peregrine Falcon from just a few feet away, discovering the secrets of raptor biology or becoming one of the few in the world to come face-to-face with a California Condor, The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey is sure to offer you the experience of a lifetime!

What We Do

The Velma Morrison Interpretive Center functions as a doorway into The Peregrine Fund, a worldwide conservation organization working on the captive breeding and release of various endangered birds of prey. The Peregrine Fund also employs a vast network of raptor biologists, having worked with everything from the vultures in India to the diverse bird life of Hawaii. The organization is driven by a passion for birds of prey, and it is that passion that the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center strives to communicate. Conserving endangered raptors takes more than a small team of biologists; it is the dedication of a wider community that ultimately ensures success. The Interpretive Center works for this community--to educate, to inspire, to offer a look at The Peregrine Fund and, most important, the magnificent birds for which it was established. Our interpretive center was voted "Boise's best place to bring out of town guests." Come visit us anytime! To learn more about The Peregrine Fund and its current projects, click here.
