  Peregrine Falcon chick with band
A Peregrine Falcon chick shows off its new U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service band,
which contains information about age, sex, and hometown that researchers use to track migration routes,
life span, behaviors, and other topics important to understanding raptor biology.

  Peregrine does fly-by
One of the adults flies by to check out unexpected action at the nest box on Saturday afternoon.

  Peregrine Banding volunteers
Assisting on Saturday were Thinh Do, left, who took photos of the banding, and volunteer Dan Lass,
who used his hat to keep the protective adult birds
away from the nest.
